PINE BLUFF, Ark. — In Pine Bluff, police have been taking a hard look at crime in the city.

"We're no different than any other city's crime. We do have crime, but it's not what we label crime bluff; but it's not true," said Shirley Warrior, the interim police chief with the Pine Bluff Police Department (PBPD).

She explained how the city has been busy working to change that narrative.

"When we share that information, we also gain information, and then we can help solve that crime. Then we also ask the community if they know anything, to call and help us," Warrior described.

Last week, multiple city agencies gathered for a bi-monthly shooting review. While the process isn't new, alerting the public is part of the chief's focus on transparency.
