WEST LAFAYETTE — Purdue football sophomore kicker Spencer Porath banged in a field goal off the left upright with 6:15 to go in the third quarter of Saturday's win over Southern Illinois .

It was third consecutive make for Porath, a Brownsburg native, to open the season and second made field goal Saturday to go with four PATs.
