HOUSTON (KIAH) — A family is facing a large amount in repair bills after alleging their vehicle sustained damage from a county maintenance crew.
Jordan Duque recounted the incident, explaining that while driving on Old Greenhouse Road, he noticed a significant impact to his vehicle, which he described as a loud thud.
Upon inspection, Duque discovered a substantial dent on the passenger door. According to police reports, a county-operated lawn mower was engaged in vegetation clearing, and debris was reportedly ejected, causing the damage.
Duque and his mother diligently compiled supporting documentation, including photographs and the police report, but their claim for reimbursement was ultimately denied.
The family estimates the repair costs to be approximately $3,000.
