PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — Plans for expansion on the south side are underway. The Ohio Department of Transportation is planning to build an interchange at the U.S. 23 and state Route 762 interchange in Pickaway County.
As it stands right now, there is a traffic light and left turn lanes from U.S. 23 if you're turning onto Route 762.
"Really the next step with that, due to all the volume of traffic would be this interchange" said Hannah Salem, spokesperson for ODOT district 6.
Both the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission and ODOT identified this spot due to the planned growth expected in the area. On top of that, there is a growing need to reduce congestion and make the intersection safer.
