GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- One person died in an Alpine Township house fire early Tuesday, Sept. 9.
Alpine Township firefighters responded about 1:20 a.m. to a house in the 3500 block of Four Mile Road NW.
Arriving at the scene, they found a house engulfed in flames.
Later, a victim was found.
“The Alpine Township Fire Department extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the individual who tragically lost their life in this incident,” fire supervisors wrote in a statement.
Fire officials said they do not believe the fire’s cause is suspicious, but it is under investigation.
Four other fire departments responded to help put out the fire.
