Securing a sunbed by the pool when you’re on holiday has become something of a competitive sport. Eager sunbathers will lay out their towels before breakfast has even begun, leaving late arrivals struggling to find a spot.

Some resorts in Europe have even introduced rules on reserving sunbeds, while others have systems in place.

One Brit who recently went on a family holiday in Majorca said her experience of ‘sunbed wars’ was unlike “anything I’ve seen in my whole life” and “so funny”.

Mum and wife Sheralee shared her experience on TikTok after she stayed at the Sol Barbados hotel last month. She told viewers to “please look” at the scene she was seeing while likely filming the video from her hotel room, the Mirror reports.
