YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Reports said police collected 40 shell casings from two different weapons while answering a gunfire call Monday evening on a South Side street.
Police were called about 7:52 p.m. to Roxbury and Homestead avenues after receiving a gunshot sensor call, reports said.
In the intersection, police found 23 casings for a .223-caliber semiautomatic rifle and an additional 14 .40-caliber casings.
Two cars were damaged by gunfire, and a house was struck by a bullet, reports said.
Reports said witnesses told police the gunfire was coming from a black car that drove west down the street toward Shirley Road.
