Like much of the football world, Dan Campbell had his eyes on Monday Night Football to watch how Ben Johnson would fare in his head coaching debut.

And in his eyes, his friend did not disappoint, despite the loss.

The Chicago Bears hosted the Minnesota Vikings in an NFC North showdown to open the 2025 season, with the former Lions offensive coordinator coming up short in a 27-24 home loss.

During a Tuesday appearance on 97.1 The Ticket’s “Costa and Jansen,” Campbell praised both Johnson’s Bears and the Vikings for the way they opened the season.
