COVINGTON, La. (WGNO) — Kate Fusilier will tell you, she was not born to sew.
At least, that's what she thought.
That's what she told WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood.
Then she found a quilt made by her great great grandmother and she knew that a needle and thread were in her past and her future.
During the pandemic, with a world weary from wearing all those masks, Fusilier had a notion and a question.
That is, would people trade the mask for a bandana? Not just any bandana, her bandana.

A "Blingdana" as she named it and created a new word.
"It's safety and it's fashion and I do have a federal trademark," said Fusilier.
