MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WXIX) - The investigation continues following an arrest as police seek information on a 31-year-old woman who has been missing since December 2022, the Dayton Police Department said.

Ciara Chapman was last seen at her ex-boyfriend’s home in Trotwood near Dayton before police discovered her vehicle near Middletown about a month later in January 2023.

Meanwhile, Walter Rodgers, 35, was arrested last week in connection with a shootout at a Sunoco gas station in Dayton on Sept. 2 in which he allegedly said, “I’m going to do ya’ll like I did Cierra,” possibly referring to the missing woman and his former girlfriend, according to the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio.
