In an atypically brief meeting on Sept. 8, the Oldham-Ramona-Rutland School Board approved its amended capital outlay budget for the 2026 fiscal year.

This action ensures the budget is in compliance with the Lake County court order that indefinitely suspended the district's plans to construct a new prekindergarten through 12th-grade school in Ramona back at the start of August. The change removes all capital outlay dollars associated with the plan with the exception of one year of the $700,000 capital outlay opt-out originally passed by district voters in September of 2024. The district had originally designed this opt-out to last 21 years. ×
