A 29-year-old Dufferin County man’s trip to Guelph earned him more than three dozen charges as police discovered $27,000 in fentanyl and other drugs.
Guelph police said an officer noticed the man Saturday in the area of Imperial Road North and Massey Road, at about 9:30 a.m., driving a motorcycle in a manner that looked “suspicious.”
In getting closer to the motorcycle, the cruiser’s automated licence plate reader alerted the officer that the plate was associated with a suspended driver.
A second traffic officer was in the area, police said and saw the motorcycle stopped in traffic at a red light. The driver then dropped the bike and attempted to flee on foot but was caught after a short foot pursuit.
A witness in the area told police they saw the man throwing items into a bush area wh
