Our fall preview is coming to an end as summer prepares to make its last stand. Say goodbye to temperatures in the 70s as highs will return to the 90s for the first time in nearly three weeks.

Wednesday serves as a setup day before the summer heatwave arrives on Thursday. Temperatures will be warmer, but not unbearable. Most locations will climb into the upper 80s, with low 90s possible in northern Arkansas.

Heat settles in on Thursday. Expect highs in the lower to mid-90s each day through the end of the week.

While it will be hot, the saving grace is that the heat arrives without any notable humidity.
