SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The SAISD Board of Trustees had a divided discussion on the demolition of the former Sam Houston Elementary during a special meeting on Monday, Sept. 8.
The demolition is not part of the previous bond, but part of "vacating old buildings" that the district no longer has a use for.
"We don't have a use for the building," Superintendent Chris Moran said. "It's beyond its useful life.
