FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Fort Smith Police Department says it is investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a man injured on Monday afternoon.
FSPD told KNWA/FOX24 that an officer responded to the 3000 block of Hardie Avenue for an injury accident around noon.
The caller told police that he was walking from the 10 Box grocery store and was hit by a vehicle. The man walked back to his residence and called the police, according to the FSPD report.
The report said that the man had road rash all over his face and body. He was bleeding from multiple cuts and scrapes. The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
FSPD said officers were not able to locate the accident location, and they were looking for cameras for follow-up.
