BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Crystal Bridges announced donations Sept. 9 of two art gifts in celebration of its expansion.

According to a press release, Olivia Walton, Chairperson of Crystal Bridges, and her husband, Tom Walton, donated 18 works by women artists, including Yayoi Kusama, Alice Neel and Njideka Akunyili Crosby.

Collectors Candace and Michael Humphreys gave 200 artworks by over 100 artists spanning multiple eras and disciplines.

The gifts were given in celebration of an expansion project that increases the size of the museum by 50%.

The museum announced that the grand opening of the expanded museum will be held on June 6-7, 2026.

As part of the 114,000-square-foot expansion, the museum is reinstalling nearly every gallery.
