A bunch of afternoon beers with no food and a poor decision led to a "little hiccup" on a 52-year-old's record, a court has heard.

Aaron Michael Brady represented himself in Orange Local Court on August 28, 2025 on a charge of low-range drink-driving.

The Sale Street, Orange resident entered a plea of guilty to the charge.

It was around 5.30pm on July 30, 2025 when police saw a white table top Mercedes Sprinter travelling north on Sale Street, Orange, court documents reveal.

Police stopped the vehicle for roadside testing and asked the driver - later identified as Brady - for his licence.

He was breath tested and returned a positive reading for alcohol. He was arrested and taken to Orange Police Station.

While in custody, Brady returned a second positive reading for alcohol of 0.051.
