GRAND CANYON JUNCTION, Ariz. — A firefighter died in the line of duty while fighting the Dragon Bravo Fire in northern Arizona, officials say.

A firefighter who was actively involved in the suppression repair near the North Rim Entrance Station suffered a cardiac emergency, according to a news release. Rapid medical assistance was provided by a line paramedic, but the resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful.
