A Hamilton police officer has been charged with failing to provide a breath sample following an off-duty collision in Haldimand County.

In a news release Tuesday, Haldimand Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to Parkview Road in Hagersville around 11:10 p.m., on Sept. 8, for reports of a driver striking an unoccupied parked vehicle. No one was injured in the two-vehicle crash.

Kyla Jobb, 37, of Jarvis, was charged with failing or refusing to provide a breath sample, police said.

Hamilton police acknowledged the charges in a separate news release and said the officer has been reassigned to administrative duties. She is set to appear in court Oct. 7.
