CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - From stocking grocery shelves to working with computer software, the programs at Cabell County Schools have something for every student’s interest.
For more than 20 years, the Career Transitions program has taken students ranging from 16 to 21 on a rotation between several job sites.
“Most, if not all of these kids are not going to go to college. They need jobs and, in most cases, they need a job pretty quick,” said Benjy Steele, project coordinator with Huntington High School.
There are more than 30 different job sites for students and rotate through and each have different tasks.
At the Food Fair in Barboursville, students stock shelves, ring out customers, clean up aisles, and move the carts -- among other tasks.
