DALLAS — Two longtime farmers markets in East Dallas face difficult decisions for next season after receiving about $20,000 less in funding this year, according to the nonprofit that operates the markets.
Good Local Markets operates the White Rock Farmers Market that runs from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays from March to December outside White Rock United Methodist Church at 1450 Old Gate Lane and the Lakewood Tower Farmers Market, which runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays from February to November at 6301 Gaston Ave. The markets have operated for nearly two decades.
