TESCOTT, Kan. (KAKE) - Cleanup efforts are underway in Tescott after heavy rain left much of the small Ottawa County town underwater overnight. Residents say they haven't seen flooding like this since 1993.

Homes, roadways, and even the local school were surrounded by floodwaters. Dr. Kirk Graves, principal at Tescott High School, said his family had to wade through thigh-deep water to evacuate.
