Peters Township (5-0-0, 5-0-0) head coach Bob Dyer thinks that the schedule the Class 4A No. 2 Indians have played in the early stages of the season is doing a great job of setting the team up for later in the year, as it pulled off a 1-0 win over No. 3 Canon-McMillan (4-1-0, 1-1-0) in Section 2 thanks to a goal from Colin Froelich.

“I don’t know if there’s anyone who’s played a more difficult schedule than ours,” Dyer said. “For us to be winning close games, that’s a fine line because they could go the other way, but we’re learning to compete, we’re learning to win close games, and I’m pleased where we are right now.
