The Pirates’ losing ways continued Tuesday evening, falling by a final of 3-2 to the Orioles in 11 innings at Camden Yards. The loss marked the fourth-straight for Don Kelly’s club, which was swept over the weekend by the Brewers.
Samuel Basallo walked the game off with a single to left field that scored Gunnar Henderson, the team’s automatic runner. His hit came on a weak fly ball to left field that just kicked off the glove of Tommy Pham, right along the foul line. The play was originally called a foul ball, but changed to a walk-off hit upon review.
Dietrich Enns was the game’s winning pitcher, improving to 3-2 on the season. Dauri Moreta suffered the loss, dropping to 1-1.
