LIVINGSTON, Texas (KTRE) - Two Polk County inmates were found overdosing in one of the male pods, according to a statement from Polk County Sheriff Byron Lyons.

On September 6 at about 12:49 p.m., prisoners Tyler Lance Williams, 31, of Point Blank, Texas, and Fredrick Duane Evans Jr., 30, of Onalaska, were found suffering from an overdose of K2. Correctional officers immediately began administering multiple lifesaving doses of Narcan. EMS arrived and took the two men to a hospital for further care.

A thorough search of the pod and the inmates’ belongings was conducted; however, no additional contraband was located.
