In front of a loud student section in its home gym, the Fort Vancouver volleyball team improved to 2-0 on the young season with a victory over Hudson’s Bay on Tuesday.

Savaya Sanders had 16 kills and Elizabeth Vest tallied five aces. They are two of 10 seniors on Fort’s team, who coach Paige Lufkin-Quant credits with helping grow the volleyball program over the past four years.

Lufkin-Quant said there are 40 players in Fort’s volleyball program after nearly 70 tried out, the most of any recent year.

Laila Smith and Faith Smith each had a team-high nine digs as Fort won the match 25-13, 25-23 and 25-16. Tags Fort Vancouver Trappers Hudson’s Bay Eagles Prep Sports Sports
