The Bureau of Land Management Roswell Field Office is celebrating the 32nd Annual National Public Lands Day by inviting volunteers to help clean up sections of the office’s 240-acre Oxbow Recreation Area near Roswell. BLM personnel will meet volunteers at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, on Comanche Hill at the corner of Alamo Road and U.S. 380. The event location is about seven miles east of the City of Roswell. The geographic coordinates are: 33.39946 -104.34639. Participants should wear hats, boots, sunscreen and bug repellant. The BLM will provide trash bags, gloves, water and snacks.
