MISSOULA — As the fourth set hung in the balance in a jam-packed Big Sky High gymnasium, it genuinely felt as though the entire match hung in the balance, too.

After securing the first set, but then dropping the following two, Missoula Big Sky had put itself in a hole against crosstown rival Missoula Hellgate. The fourth set saw chaotic momentum swings in both directions, the Eagles jumping out to an early lead before the Knights clawed back to a tie, before the Eagles regained the lead, before the Knights again rallied but now taking a 25-24 advantage. The tension was palpable.
