Florida football expected quarterback DJ Lagway to take a step forward entering his sophomore season following a promising freshman year.

But through two games, Lagway finds himself ranked 73 rd among FBS quarterbacks with a quarterback rating of 52.1, passing for 342 yards with 4 TD passes to 1 interception during that span.

The 6-foot-3, 247-pound Lagway will get another chance to get his season on track when the Florida Gators (1-1) play at No. 4 LSU (2-0) on Sept. 13 in a critical SEC opener.
