The Downtown Monroe Craft Beer Fest returns in 2025 at a new location.
On Saturday, Sept. 20, breweries from across Southeast Michigan will converge on the City of Monroe to show off their wares in the parking lot behind the River Raisin Banquet Center at 8 North Monroe St. Along with live music from CC Catz and 2 Trick Pony, attendees will have the chance to sample brews from 10 different establishments.
The point, according to Paula Stanifer, event coordinator for the Downtown Monroe Business Network, is to bring people in to see what downtown has to offer and support businesses.
"The fest is important to everybody," said John Groll, owner of Pavlov's Brewing Company in Temperance.
For brewers like Groll, the fest presents an opportunity to put a face to their company names and wor
