BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - After a couple of cooler and more comfortable mornings, the heat and humidity have returned with even warmer days ahead.

The rebound in humidity is noticeable this morning, with lows starting in the low 70s. Afternoon highs will climb into the low 90s under mostly dry conditions. A stray shower or storm is possible, but most areas will stay dry.

The Climate Prediction Center outlook highlights much of the U.S. with above-average odds for warmer than normal temperatures into late September.

Tailgating will be hot, with highs in the low 90s Saturday afternoon. Kickoff will start in the upper 80s, slowly dropping into the low 80s by the fo
