UK tourists in France have been issued a travel warning by the Foreign Office office as a general strike takes place across the country today, September 10.

Brits are warned of likely ‘disruption’ and are urged to monitor local news and check with their travel provider.

In a statement shared on its travel advice page for France, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said: “Calls for strikes and demonstrations across France on Wednesday 10 September and Thursday 18 September could make disruption more likely.

“Monitor local news and check with your travel provider regarding potential delays.”
