Former Premier League referee, David Coote, has been charged with making an indecent video of a child under Category A.
Coote, 43, is set to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday, September 11, for a first hearing in relation to the charge, the Nottingham Post said.
He has been charged of making one indecent video of a child under Category A on January 2, 2020.
Category A categorises the video in the most serious category, and can often show young children being raped or sexually abused by adults.
The former top flight official was fired by Professional Game Match Officials Ltd (PGMOL) back in December 2024 after a video went viral on social media of him making comments deemed to be derogatory about the ex-Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp.
