The Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM), on Queen Street, announced this morning that "unforeseen circumstances" has meant the museum had to close today.

A statement on the museum's Facebook page said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, RAMM will be closed today.

"If you have pre-booked an exhibition ticket, we will be in touch."

A witness has told DevonLive that police are at the scene and a cordon is reportedly in place nearby.
