A Sault Ste. Marie resident faces several charges following an historical intimate partner violence investigation.
The alleged incidents happened “over a number of years” in the Sault and Pic Mobert First Nation, about 350 kilometres northwest of the city, Ontario Provincial Police say.

The accused, 42, was charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm, two counts each mischief and sexual assault and four counts assault.
The accused was not named by police to protect the victim’s identity.
