CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Two individuals have been charged and detained after a welfare check led deputies to discover several children living in deplorable conditions, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Adamaris Llamile Gutierrez, 24, and Christopher Gutierrez Perez, 18, have both been charged with endangering children after a bystander called to report an unsupervised child getting off the school bus, deputies said.

BCSO states that the child was then walked to their residence on the 1500 block of Biscayne Drive in St. Claire Township by the bystander, who went inside to find the child’s caregiver unresponsive.

Upon arrival, deputies were met by several small children and their uncle unresponsive in the back room.
