NATIONWIDE — A FROZEN ASIAN VEGETABLE LINE SOLD ACROSS THE U.S. HAS BEEN RECALLED after an outbreak of salmonella. Chetak LLC Group initiated a recall for multiple lots of its Frozen Deep-brand Sprouted Mat and Moong in one pound packages, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA)announced in an expanded recall guidance that was issued on Monday, Sept. 8. While Chetak originally announced its recall on July 16, the FDA expanded advice on Aug. 22 for retailers and consumers to not eat, sell or serve Deep-brand frozen food packages with the lot code IN25158K. The product had a use-by date of Dec. 6, 2026. On Monday, Chetak further expanded its recall that now impacts several lots of various Deep-brand frozen products.
