HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Dozens of community members and state, local, and federal leaders gathered Wednesday as the Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program cut the ribbon on its new headquarters in Hazard.

The agency has provided workforce development services in Eastern Kentucky since 1968, serving 23 counties and helping adults, youth, and dislocated workers access training and find jobs.

Executive Director Becky Miller said the event was about more than just a building.

“The ribbon cutting today was a celebration of progress at our new location here in Hazard,” Miller said. “It’s more of a celebration of who we are and who we represent as a workforce board in Eastern Kentucky.”
