BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A man found guilty of the murder of three victims in East New York in June 2020 has been sentenced to life in prison, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez announced Wednesday.
Charles Hernandez, 52, was convicted on May 21 for one count of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder, among other charges.
The first victim, Kenneth Singeleton, 35, was washing his car outside his home near Milford Street and Blake Avenue on June 20, 2020, when Hernandez approached in a disguise and shot him multiple times in the head, prosecutors say.
On June 27, 2020, Hernandez, disguised in a blonde wig and a long coat, approached Stephanie Perkins, 39, and Chioke Thompson, 23, as they sat on the stoop of Perkins' home on Van Siclen Street, prosecutors say.
