LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The woman who has served as Jefferson County Clerk for the past 26 years has died.

Her office announced that Bobbie Holsclaw passed away this morning surrounded by her family. She was 81 years old.

Holsclaw was first elected to office in 1999. In her role as Jefferson County Clerk, Holsclaw was the chairperson for the county Board of Elections.

Arrangements for Holsclaw have not been announced.
