HOWELL COUNTY, Mo. -- The Howell County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is strongly recommending residents in the county not to intentionally burn due to extremely dry conditions and low humidity.
In a social media post on Wednesday, Howell County OEM advises residents to wait until the county recieves some rain to start burning again.
Howell County OEM says it may issue a burn ban based on the drought monitor and other factors if dry conditions persist or there are an excessive number of fire responses.
