In an effort to address critical gaps in care, Prisma Health has launched the Sickle Cell Disease Lifespan Center with dedicated clinics in Greenville and Columbia, the health system announced Sept. 10.
Made possible in part by a $2 million appropriation by the state General Assembly, the newly expanded, systemwide program is designed to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients with sickle cell disease from childhood diagnosis through adulthood.
