Suranne Jones has branded her new drama with a Doctor Who legend ‘a wild ride’ as ITV revealed its first-look at the series.

Chadderton actress Suranne is best known for playing the role of Karen McDonald on ITV soap Coronation Street between 2000 and 2004.

Karen is remembered on the cobbles for her relationship with her two-time husband Steve McDonald, who left her for her long-time rival Tracey Barlow.

It’s been a busy period for the actress, who has also starred in Scott & Bailey, A Touch of Cloth and Gentleman Jack, with her Netflix series Hostage dropping last month.
