HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - The rise in motorcycle crashes that typically occurs in the late Spring is happening at the end of Summer instead, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PENNDOT) and one Midstate trauma nurse.
"We are seeing motorcycle crash victims almost every day," said Amy Bollinger, a Trauma Nurse at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Bollinger said the trend started about a month ago and is impacting riders of all ages, including teenagers and seniors.

The dry weather, Bollinger said, may be partially to blame for the increase. In addition, more riders have been hitting the road since the COVID-19 Pandemic, according to PENNDOT.
