KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- With the passing of the redistricting bill in Missouri, it now heads to the state Senate.
The plan aims to split Missouri’s 5th congressional district into three separate districts.
Now, the move is finding itself on the doorsteps of a church in Kansas City's Old Northeast neighborhood.
“There's such a thriving community that wants to come together and works so hard to fight the poverty that's happening here,” Kay Smith, the administrator of Office Communications and volunteers at Independence Boulevard Christian Church said.
