PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - The Peoria Police Department investigating a motorcycle crash that happened Wednesday morning in Central Peoria.

According to police, it happened around noon near the intersection of West Lake Avenue and North University near Lakeview Park. The motorcyclist collided with a car and was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover, police said.

The driver of the car was not hurt.

As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, police have not specified that any tickets were issued.
