DULUTH — Minnesota Department of Transportation District 1 Engineer Duane Hill provided an update about two major transportation projects in the region during a Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon Tuesday.

Hill discussed potential impacts to the local business community during the closure of the Blatnik Bridge, as well as bringing the audience up to speed on the Twin Ports Interchange Project.

The first two stages of the Twin Ports Interchange Project in Duluth’s Lincoln Park neighborhood are complete, and officials anticipate a ribbon-cutting for the third stage next month. Construction costs have totaled $443 million.
