GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Green Bay police hosted a press conference on Wednesday, warning families of the dangers their kids could face online.

As technology continues to evolve, some people, especially children, are finding themselves in situations where their private photos are being compromised.

Sextortion, or the form of sexually exploiting a victim by an offender who got hold of sensitive material, is on the rise, with Attorney General Josh Kaul saying they’ve received 400 cyber tips related to the matter this year.

Landon Weigelt’s family is one of the many who experience the negative outcome of situations like this. They are turning that pain into an outlet, so families don’t have to go through what they have.
