Minneapolis is awarding more than $753,000 in rent subsidies to eight local artists and creative entrepreneurs who will fill vacant retail spaces across the city.
Mayor Jacob Frey and other city officials gathered Wednesday morning to announce the latest cohort of the city's Vibrant Storefronts initiative. Now in its second year, the program is expanding to downtown Minneapolis and the Uptown area.
