City officials in Youngstown unveiled new improvements at Lynn Park in the Brownlee Woods neighborhood on the city's south side.
The park was reopened after almost a year of improvements including a new playground, pickleball court and outdoor workout equipment, as as well as a revamped basketball court.
Lynn Park was one of approximately a dozen parks that city council earmarked nearly $6 million for.
"Out of $82 million dollars, we spent $10 million dollars of the ARPA funds on parks. I have to give a big shoutout to city council," said Mayor Tito Brown.
Basia Admaczak who once represented the seventh ward was happy to see plans she and other leaders at the time had, come to fruition.
